Why Do We Dream ?

Compartilhar

Dreams are a fascinating part of our lives, but why do we dream? While scientists still don’t fully understand the purpose of dreams, there are several theories. One popular theory is that dreaming helps us process emotions and memories from our day. During sleep, especially in the REM phase, our brain is very active, sorting through thoughts and experiences. .

Another theory suggests that dreams are a way for our brain to practice different situations. In a dream, you might experience strange or unexpected events, which may help you handle surprises in real life. Some scientists believe that dreams also help us solve problems. You might have noticed that after a good night’s sleep, you see things more clearly or have new ideas—dreams might play a role in this process.

Even though we may not remember every dream, they are a natural and important part of sleep. So, the next time you wake up from a strange or exciting dream, remember that your brain was busy at work, helping you process your thoughts and prepare for the day!

Palavras Difíceis: Process (to understand and organize information; entender e organizar informações), REM (Rapid Eye Movement; Movimento Rápido dos Olhos, uma fase do sono em que a maior parte dos sonhos ocorre).
